Hi! I'm Gayle Watson. I have trained people and their dogs full time for over 16 years. I continually strive to maintain state of the art, science based methods that are fast, fair and effective.
The body of knowledge is always growing and with it, our understanding of the dynamics between people and their dogs.
My own dogs train in the sport of Agility with a bit of Tracking, and trick training. Three, including my current partner, Tsuli, have attained the level of “Agility Trial Champion Dog of Canada”. My upcoming youngster, the aptly named Nymble, is a one year old who promises to challenge me with her impressive speed.
GOOD TRAINING IS MORE A CONVERSATION THAN A SERIES OF DEMANDS. LISTENING TO THEIR SIDE OF THE CONVERSATION BUILDS UNDERSTANDING AND A WILLING PARTNER. CHANGE YOUR CONVERSATION FROM NO, TO YES FOR MORE JOY AT BOTH ENDS OF THE LEASH.
I have taken several dog classes elsewhere years ago, and have had several dogs since then, but for one reason or another I haven’t even started them through puppy class as I have had bad experiences with other training classes. Earlier this year I put my latest pup through Capable Canines Puppy Class what a difference between her and my last lot of pups . I will be sure to put all my pups in future through at least one course of lessons at Capable Canines Dog Training.

"Through taking classes with Gayle Watson at Capable Canines, I have been taught the skills required to create a confident, happy, and well trained dog, who is eager to listen and learn. By employing the positive, reward based methods Gayle teaches, I have been able to train my dog to a competitive level in agility, and most importantly, strengthen the bond that we share."
"A year ago my husband and I brought a 10 week old Miniature Australian Shepherd into our home. It didn’t take us long to realize we needed help with our little ball of mega energy! We started Puppy Manners a week later and followed with Puppy Management. Gayle’s classes are always positive for dogs and their people. She instructs with sound advice, wisdom, humour and easy-to-grasp training techniques. We would come to class each week “puppy weary”, and leave with a renewed desire to practice and to do our best with our puppy. Bryn is 14 months old now and a truly delightful dog. She is still a busy girl and loves agility classes…and, of course, her favourite person is Gayle!"
With many thanks,
